On Friday, April 10, 2016, the regular General Assembly of the Friends of Bruno Weber Park association took place in the Water Garden Hall. Association President Urs Rufer welcomed the board, representatives of the foundation, and numerous members, and swiftly guided them through the agenda.
Following the assembly, numerous guests entered the hall to commemorate Bruno Weber on the occasion of his 95th birthday. The atmospheric memorial service began at 7:30 PM with welcoming words by Maria Anna Weber and Urs Rufer. Interleaved with musical pieces performed by Trio Trello, Helene Arnet shared lesser-known anecdotes and episodes from Bruno Weber's life.
The program performed by Trio Trello featuring Esther Arnet (accordion), Guido Arnet (violin), and Silvan Fischbacher (clarinet) delighted the guests and contributed greatly to the contemplative, festive atmosphere. The guests were culinary treated on behalf of the Friends Association with Italian catering from Mercato, Dietikon.
On Saturday, April 5, the traditional Easter egg hunt took place in the Bruno Weber Park, attracting over 1,250 visitors - including many families, guests from various cantons, and international visitors who became aware of the event via the internet.
Under bright blue skies and warm temperatures, the entire park was bustling with activity. Over 1,000 colorful eggs were hidden, sparking great enthusiasm among seekers young and old. As a reward, those who found the colored eggs received a wooden yo-yo.
The grand prizes were a special highlight:
In addition to the egg hunt, children could let their creativity run wild and design their own eggs - an activity that was also very well received.
Over the years, the Easter egg hunt has developed into a popular event and is becoming increasingly well-known. This year's event was a complete success for everyone involved - and there was no shortage of ice cream enjoyment either.
The next Easter egg hunt in the Bruno Weber Park will take place again next year.
In the frost- and ice-enchanted Bruno Weber Park, Maria Anna Weber, the entire park team, and the irreplaceable team of volunteers came together on Friday, January 23, 2026, for the traditional New Year's dinner in the mystically lit Water Garden Hall. All departments were represented: gardening, secretariat, ticket counter, guided tours, IT, catering, cleaning, social media, and more - a truly diverse group of dedicated people.
Maria Anna Weber personally thanked each team member for their valuable contribution. The delicious meal was accompanied by beautiful piano music played by a long-standing team member. Upon departure, everyone also received a reprint of a work by Bruno Weber as a small keepsake.
During the evening, Rebecca Piperio, one of Maria Anna Weber's daughters, addressed the audience: She expressed her heartfelt thanks for the donations of musical instruments to the Kyiv Tango Orchestra. Through her involvement, she wishes to set a sign of hope for the children of the supported music school in Ukraine - and hopes for further donations. Anyone who has unused string or wind instruments at home is welcome to drop them off at the park.
Together, the teams are now entering the year 2026 full of positive energy - with the firm commitment to continue preserving, maintaining, and protecting the park together as both a human and cultural paradise.
Since autumn 2025, visitors to the Bruno Weber Park have been able to participate in a raffle in the Water Garden Hall. Admission vouchers are raffled monthly, and the annual raffle features a grand prize: Bruno Weber's third book, "Bruno Weber - Ein Lebenswerk" (A Life's Work). Among the lucky winners of 2025 whom we are permitted to publish are:
No longer an insider secret: The Kyiv Tango Orchestra fills the Water Garden Hall in the Bruno Weber Park
On Sunday, January 5, 2026, following a minute of silence for the victims of the terrible fire in Crans-Montana, the Kyiv Tango Orchestra (KTO) gave a charity concert in the Bruno Weber Park in front of a sold-out house - and completely thrilled the audience. It was not the first time the ensemble had performed at the Bruno Weber Park, but never before had so many listeners attended: about half from Switzerland and half from Ukraine - united by a love of music and the desire to do good.
Earlier, Yeva and Mykhailo Synchyshyn had already captured the hearts and ears of the audience with their brilliant musical aperitif. After fleeing the war zone in Ukraine in 2022, they have performed several times in Dietikon at the Bruno Weber Park and the Reformed Church.
The emotions were clearly visible on the faces of the guests: liveliness, joy, touching moments - pure emotional depth. With its internationally renowned style, the KTO once again set new standards for cultural excellence.
All donations raised will benefit the Kopychyntsi Music School in Ukraine - a school with around 100 students - as well as children affected by the war in Ukraine.
At this point, we would like to extend our warmest thanks to Maria Anna Weber for her wonderful support and hospitality - as well as to everyone who helped make this concert a resounding success.
The journey of the Kyiv Tango Orchestra continues: Next stops in Great Britain are:
We wish the Kyiv Tango Orchestra much success on its upcoming tour through Germany, France, and Poland - and we are already looking forward to seeing them again soon!

The Bruno Weber Gesamtkunstwerk Foundation supports the preservation of the Bruno Weber Sculpture Park above Dietikon and Spreitenbach. Created over half a century by the Dietikon artist Bruno Weber (1931 - 2011), the total work of art is unique in Switzerland.
It is important to continue finding a place of imagination and contemplation in the urban environment in the future.
The foundation is funded through memberships and donations. We do not receive any public funding. Every bit of support helps us keep the vision of Bruno Weber alive.
